About the Role
You will be working directly within bespoke services specialising in supporting with individuals with Acquired Brain Injury, Learning Disabilities, Physical Disability and Autism. You will work alongside the staff team and management to enhance quality of life by using person-centred approaches to assist in designing and implementing short and long-term behavioural intervention and support strategies (using the framework of Positive behaviour Support). Your work will focus on providing coaching and support to minimise behaviours of challenge, assisting in functional behaviour assessments and interventions and development of person-centred training for individuals with complex needs.
The successful candidate will work within the Specialist Support Team, working in conjunction with the operational manager on a day-to-day basis within regional parameters. In addition, regular contact and clinical supervision will be provided to ensure best practice guidelines are followed. The successful candidate will be based in Leonard Cheshire’s Central England supported living services. The post will involve being based at the service up to 3 days a week. Candidates located within a central location of regions would be preferable. Benefits include mileage and expenses covered within the role, including subsistence for work within the field. All field clinicians are equipped with office setup for clinical work.
About You
You will hold a Certificate/Diploma level or equivalent in Positive Behaviour Support or Applied Behaviour Analysis /or have previous experience in coaching and training staff, assisting in functional behaviour assessments, creating behaviour support plans, and working with people with an Acquired Brain injury, Learning Disability, Autism and Mental Health duality. You will also have experience of coaching and developing staff, excellent interpersonal skills, be customer and solution-orientated and be willing to undertake travel both regionally if required. Successful applicants will also have opportunity to collect continued professional development and clinical supervision hours. Also, as part of the role you will receive training to become a NAPPI certified instructor (trainer).
